True Colors

Colors evoke emotions, associations, and reactions. Colors raise questions and allow thoughts that can hardly be captured in black and white. In our immediate surroundings, there are countless colors to discover. Purple – and suddenly we find ourselves on the street, demonstrating. Red – and we binge watch and chill along. Each of us has an inner self that presents itself in various colors. Whom do we show these to? Which colors do we merely display?

Colors inspire remarkable content and trigger impulses to write about them. An attempt to understand, grasp, translate, or describe colors is reflected in the texts of this booklet: vibrant and loud, subtly transitioning in color, rich in nuances, on the move. We are proud to present the winners of the poetry slam competition “True Colors”, created as the second collaboration between ISEAHZ – University of Tunis and the University of Teacher Education Zurich.
